Sahuaro vs Sahuarita

SAHUARO 78, SAHUARITA 42

Sahuarita 12 8 11 11 - 42

Sahuaro 22 25 21 10 - 78

SAHT - Black 2 1-2 7, Blake 3 0-0 7, Escalante 4 2-4 10, Noble 1 0-0 2, Serrano 3 0-1 6, Santa Cruz 4 0-2 8, Rodriguez 1 0-0 2. Team 18 3-9 42.

SAH - Kreinbrink 1 0-0 2, Allen 6 1-1 13, Hall 2 1-2 5, Manzo 1 0-0 2, Yancy 2 0-0 5, Renfro 8 0-0 16, Bell 2 0-0 4, Green 4 0-0 8, Lane 7 1-1 16, Detwiler 2 3-4 5. Team 35 6-8 78.

This game was pretty much a blow out from the start. Renfro had 4 crazy dunks and just missed his 5th which would have been his best one yet. Most starters sat the 2nd half, Lane had 14 first half ended up with 16. Box score shows Renfro with 16 our books had him with 12 but I am sure the offcial scorer gave him some tip ins. Not much of a game but Sahuaro is looking pretty good with Renfro, Lane and new commer Allen leading the way this season. Hall big time football player is in the starting lineup and man can he hustle, he really helps the defense.

Ok fine Devon Allen (Phx Native), but look at my boy Nick Ross

Last night I had to watch Oregon stomp all over my Wildcats and see an impressive Devon Allen, who is also a national champion hurdler in NCAA and USATF. Proud to say he is AZ native from Brophy.

But since I competed in track at Arizona, and Oregon is also nicknamed Track Town USA (and Nike headquarters), I thought I would give some props to a teammate I had the chance to compete along side with.

Nick Ross is a NCAA high jump champion with a best of 7'5.75". He can also dunk like some of the best of them. I got to mess around in the McKale center with him once after practice. I threw down, ummmmm, just one dunk, but his dunk session looked very similar to this one.

Extremely good guy too. Very humble.
