Obert's top-25 list just got me laughing. Just so off! He only did AIA players which I'm sure meant (I'm not including MB3)-- It got me thinking--you can make 2 lists really. 1 list is who is most valuable to their HS team right now and then another list which would be the future potential of the player. Some players would be the same but some mean way more to their teams success. Obert made it an All-USA Arizona Boys team. not sure what that means but--maybe who he thinks are the top-25 best players in the AIA.

He did reference Brock Gardner, Ayton and Bagley. Never mentioned Nigel Shadd which I thought was funny too. There you get to see how little he actually knows about players. And not having Timmy Allen on the list at all!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My "FUTURE" list would be something like this--I think it is hard since we never rank classes vs classes:
1. 2018 6'10" Marvin Bagley III CDS? (NON AIA)---PRO
2. 2019 6'3" CG Josh Green M Ridge--High Major most likely.
3. 2016 6'4" SG Cam Satterwhite GC (NOT PLAYING)--Pro Chance with full health-still growing.
4. 2016 6'8" PF Mitch Lightfoot GC--his skill catches up to his motor--watch out
5. 2016 6'6" W Elijah Thomas S Mtn--freak of nature--may pass all of above one day (besides MB3)
6. 2017 6'2" PG Alex Barcello CDS--Steadiest scorer/performer as they come.
7. 2017 6'2" PG Saben Lee CDS--upside is through roof--may pass up his HS teammate if he gets J.
8. 2018 6'5" SF Timmy Allen D Ridge--how much bigger he gets decides how high he goes-but he's good.
9. 2016 6'7" SF Chris Bowling Gilbert--top "big shooter" in state. Could be a HM shooting specialist IMO.
10. 2016 6''9" PF Wyatt Lowell W Field----V Similar to CB--needs a tougher attitude to go to another level.
11. 2017 6'9" C Nigel Shadd Tri City (NON AIA)--high high upside--he figures out how to shoot outside paint--could have a HM
12. 2016 6'7" SF Brock Gardner Tri City (NON AIA)--got better every year. 1 of the sure things--steady performer.
13. 2016 6'6" SF Bryce Cheney M Valley--once he committed he has become one of the most confident and productive players in state. Bounce!
14. 2018 6'9" PF KJ Hymes St Mary's--Upside is higher then almost all of these players but hasn't fully shown it to date. Once the light bulb does go on--hopefully I'll be there to watch!
15. 2016 6'10" C Malik Ondigo Dysart--Long player who has improved 10-fold in 18 months--give him 2 more years and he could be scary good.
16. 2019 5'10" PG Jaelen House Shadow--Moxy moxy moxy. Creative scorer despite his smaller stature. Son of Eddie House is going to be good.
17. 2016 6'10" PF Devin Kirby Basha--Needs a full year to fully recover--Pros always are better there 2nd year back from major injury. Bounce and skill is very high.
18. 2016 6'11" C Brendan Rumel Rincon--Another bouncy skilled player. With tennis finally behind him--upside is high.
19. 2017 6'6" W Caleb Simmons DV--Motor as high as Lightfoot--tough kid-Obssesed about being great.
20. 2016 6'9" C Tim Fuller Highland--Become more athletic over last year--continues to improve--Efficient low post scorer.
21. 2018 6'10" C Steele Bennett DV--Highly skilled--He should start improving in next year. Could end up legit 7'0".
22. 2016 6'7" F Brandon Whittaker C Verde--Has many tools to love--he shows flashes of brilliance. Has to be consistent and find his identity.
23. 2016 6'9" C Klay Stall Basha--Another who improved greatly to only be derailed by an injury. Good attitude and tough kid.
24. 2017 6'6" SF Saikou Gueye M Ridge--Somewhat a project but should be 2018 he's so young. Long kid with tall family history and upside.
25. 2017 Apollo guards Dre Marin/Holland Woods--go back and forth which one I like more. One is arguably the best shooter in state and the other is arguably top playmaker.

Obviously for this year someone like Josh Green wouldn't be high if it was a valuable to your team this year list. Just think he's got that IT factor IMO for long term future. And I do think the 2016 class is the best class of the current 4 HS classes. 2017 good--not elite--2018--at top is excellent--but extremely shallow it seems. 2019--I guess I'll know more after my trek around the valley.
