headcase with Pickens.. Helluva receiver, not so much on character. Bet he don't last another year..
Auburn had him committed but told him to FO due to his AttitUde.
Small world. Same thing we did to Pappoe. He wanted to come to Georgia, but we told him no due to character issues.
Sure. On NSD.
spuat (unbelievably) and AU told him to FO because his mom had her hand out and said '$50k minimum...'... Kirby said 'no problem..'.
^^^^this is the truth, Snoop^^^^
Bama has less reason to pay for recruits...yet I'm certain that we still do. So do both of your schools. /thread
Not LSU tho....their compliance is on top of shit.
Are you actually asking that question?
LOL. Never said that. Compliance doesn’t have much to do with recruiting anywhere. They just “own” them after they get on campus.
I do remember one recruit LSU had from San Francisco they screwed up, though. He was pretty good. He turned to be a high draft choice and I think even made a pro bowl. His older sister sent him down a month early because she couldn’t keep him.
A coach picked him up and fixed it up for him to stay in a players vacant apartment and payed the player who then payed the rent to LSU. He had a girl working in the compliance dept pick him up and give him rides various places. Of course she opened her mouth about it.
They checked on him and had him come in. They called it a violation because the amount the player paid for the rent was a special rate and he didn’t pay enough. They reported the violation to the NCAA.
The WR Coach was suspended from coaching by Miles and kept at his desk until the NCAA ruled. Miles submitted a very long report on the matter. The upshot was that LSU lost the player and 2 scholarships for a year or so. When it was finalized the WR Coach was terminated. That’s about the only way the Compliance can get involved in recruiting. But once on campus they bust them for every rule they break.
Top secret Auburn board has a dude that knows a bama bag man.
It was a joke.
I know a the GOAT goober bag man! I have personally seen checks written to a goober player fund “ Greater Auburn Club” ... the collector, treasurer was Wayne Hall. He made several trip every year to Jasper. Tater stopped it and got $1M to STFU. I kept it down home cuz.
I know. I was just trying to think about when I could remember compliance screwing with recruiting. That was the last time.
1991 BS that has never been confirmed. The truth is Bama cheats like hayell and Auburn doesn’t. “Staring down the barrel of a gun” vs. “We’ve concluded our year-long investigation of Auburn University and Cam Newton and found them both to be as clean as a whistle!”
Both of those quotes from the respective NCAA investigators.
Lol. Auburn doesn’t cheat. Remind the board how many times Auburn has been on probation for cheating
I’m not saying they haven’t in the past. But since the early 90s (and that Eric Ramsey so called “cheating” was shaky at best) nothing. The only time they’ve been accused/investigated was 2010 and they investigated every sport on campus for over a year and came up with nuttin. “Clean as a whistle!”
Right next to the Cam link...
LOL. You mean the cheating while Dyer was coach? The time when they felt they might be required to file W-2s with the Treasury Dept on each player? When they handed out weekly checks to players? When the NCAA and the SEC suspended them from winning anything for a year? Shaky?
All they need is the corridor.
Say Pops, I got a couple of questions for you. How many TD passes did Burrow throw in October? How many in November? LOL. Just joking. What goes around comes around.
Maybe “clean as a whistle”. But you do keep a guy around for $7MM a year to call offensive plays.
The guy who beat Saban at bama twice as many times as LSU’s last two coaches?
Live it up while you can. The transfer QB will be gone and LSU will return to it’s mediocrity by September.
Yes. Very shaky. The mayor of Bammerham and his lawyer paid Ramsey to compose a bunch of lies on Auburn. In the end, all Dye did was suggest where the player get a loan AFTER he was already a player at AU. The mayor was pissed at Dye for moving the Ironbowl from bammerham to Auburn.
I’m surprised you don’t already know this since you are usually the point man on all things related to SEC/conspiracy/Bammerham.
LOL! I’m willing to bet some $$$ on which one of those two fux up first. Are you?
no, because we suspend our players due to our strict student code of discipline, whereas you pat them on the head and tell them not to do it again.
I’m sure you need some company
Uuuhhh....you guys took the bold step of suspending a player who fought with another player on national TV?.....a suspension where you guys had no choice in the matter? That's one helluva student conduct code!
Is Pappoe even still on the team? Haven’t heard dick about that guy.
I was referring to off field incidents.
I don't know what those are.
Gettin crowded, actually. Course thUGA is back in black!
Well, one thing he can’t beat LSU very often even when we didn’t have that the QB. So I don’t guess that matters much when LSU plays AU.
