Our own @jared_co wrote this column after Lute Olson passed, and after listening to @EspoAZ's latest podcast with Todd Walsh, I was wondering if any of you had a favorite Lute Olson memory.
Mine was watching a friend of mine, Johnny Cunningham, run over to be the first to shake his hand after getting in the game for the final four seconds of a blowout loss. Cunningham was a walk-on player at NAU out of Sedona High, and seeing how important it was for him to pay his respects to Lute in a meaningless game really cemented the fact in my mind that this man was a living legend while still coaching.
