Fun debate about this--2014 seems to be r best class in a long time with star power to big conferences.
Quick look at the 8 classes:
2015 was down w only a few who blossomed--D Kuiper, N Renfro-- C Randall and S.B. Thompkins never made it--yet.
2016 was thin w E Thomas-about to start for SMary's, M. Lightfoot--been solid for KU,
B Gardner--been a megastar at NAIA and did well at D1 Liberty,
Carlos Johnson and JJ Rhymes about to play for GCU.
C Bowling been solid for NAU.
2017 started strong with S. Lee-was good at Vandy,
A Barcello--should of played more at U of A.
M Shaver--stud at Portland.
H Woods--Freshman of year in the BIG SKY at Portland State.
Bryce Fowler-starter at Sacramento State
Noah Baumann--shot it well at San Jose State
Dre Marin--played well at S Utah.
Nigel Shadd--about to play freshman year at Kansas St--red-shirted.
Malik Ondigo--about to play freshman year at Texas Tech--red-shirted.
Nik Mains--about to play freshman year at NAU--red-shirted.

Prep kids definitely make it a different dimension of players.
There is a reason I do AIA/CAA rankings then do prep rankings.
95% of those kids are not from AZ.
But should I penalize them? IDK
I guess it doesn't matter but the local AZ kids seem to be pushed aside somewhat.
Most college coaches are not going to many of the local AZ schools--they are all just showing up to the prep schools.
As a scout I obviously have to watch any talent that is in the state--but it don't mean I am thrilled the way this is going. Especially the AIA kids who went to these prep schools.
I hope the AIA comes back strong but it looks like it is slowly fading---time will always tell....
Thoughts??
