Yesterday, the AIA Board approved Play in Games for 4A Conference, taking the state tourney from 16 to 24 teams like 5A & 6A. I know a lot of us coaches were dumbfounded last season when we realized they had taken the tourney down to 16 teams and there were a few quality teams left out of tourney because of that change so I commend the AIA for this approval. Sent out a few texts last night about it and the response was definitely on the positive side.
